Horse teeth plant to fight for your skin

It is sometimes quite wonderful to just learn that some plants  you can see in the mountains or fields can be beneficial to your skincare routine.

Let me introduce you to "Portulaca oleracea," a plant that you can see on the fields. In Korea, you would call it the "horse teeth," taken after its looks.

Portulaca oleracea, aka horse teeth. Can you tell?

The "horse teeth" contains a lot of eicosapentaenoic acid, an omega-3 fatty acid, which strengthen immune system and resistance of the skin against external influences. It is also known to support moisturization while soothing the skin.

Koreans have used the plants for a long time. In Oriental medicine, it was used to treat dysentery, which results in heavy diarrhea. It is also known to be effective in treating blood-showing urine, bladder syndrome and chronic colitis. And it is indeed one of the most celebrated ingredients for cosmetics in Korea at this very moment.

The upcoming Wake me up, My skin secret's facial sheet mask, uses the horse teeth plant as one of the main ingredients. Stay tuned!
